A VERY FINE EMPIRE ORMOLU CHARIOT MANTEL CLOCK,
LE ROY, PARIS CIRCA 1815
3 ¾ inch annular enamel chapter ring forming the wheel of the chariot and signed Le Roy. Hr. De Madame, bell striking movement with silk suspension, the chariot containing a roaring lion and carrying Minerva and her charioteer, Diomede, drawn by a pair of rearing stallions, the rectangular plinth with eagle and trophy mounts, four fasces forming the feet.
