Turned Ivory hollow sphere Probably Nuremberg, mid 17th Century. The Sphere has six round holes and inside it has a cube with six holes, which has again inside it a star with six spikes. These spikes protrudes through the holes of the cube. One of the spikes has a hollow end. This type of Sphere is often part of a so-called “Contrefait” Cup, attributed to Lorenz Zick (1594-1666).

Gedraaide open ivoren bol
Waarschijnlijk Nuremberg. Midden 17de eeuw. Bol met 6 ronde gaten waarin een kubus met 6 gaten en daarin weer een zespuntige ster is ondergebracht, waarvan de punten door de gaten van de bol heen kunnen steken. Een van deze punten heeft een holle opening. Een dergelijke bol is vaak onderdeel van een “Contrefait” Cup, vaak gemaakt door Lorenz Zick (1594-1666). Diameter ; 4,5 cm.
