A rare antique Farret a Paris calendar compendium c.1860. The fine mahogony case with profusely baroque carvings.
The dial, with manually adjustable calendar, features:

The enamel clock dial with roman numerals an blued steel 'Breguet' hour and minute hands.
The maker  FARRET & Cie Paris, rue Chapon, 1840-1870. Farret fit breveter en 1854 un perfectionnement à l'horlogerie des chemins de fer.
The week going medaille d'argent 'mouvement de Paris' made by Vincenti strikes the hours and half hours on a bell.
The movement is original and complete, however not recently overhauled. 
The 19th century textile ruban banner rolls are eventually subject to a 21st century 'calendar update'.
